Overview
Halenforth is a trecherous land, left scarred long ago by some great magical battle. Over time it has become a home for refugees from other lands, including outcast Humans, Dwarves, and Demons, and even a number of Dark Elves and banished Faeries. The area is connected to Teratonia via an obsidian bridge, speculated to have been created by the same people who created the Teratons.
Government
Halenforth does not have a centralized government, although its largest city, Dace, is often considered its unofficial capital. Most areas in Halenforth are self-governed, and go by their own wide variety of systems.
History
Long ago, after the fallout from The Great Exodus forced the remaining Humans of Umbra Terra to divert to their backup choice of Earth, the continents of the planet were all still one landmass. When The Great Cataclysm tore the land apart, the landmass of Halenforth was home to a collection of human mages. While the details of that time have become sketchy, what little is known is that these mages created the Teratons, using them to fight in an ancient war set partly in what is now Teratonia, although historians are uncertain if this war was part of the battle against the Titan which caused the Great Cataclysm, or a different war around the same time. (Accounts depicting The Eight Legends who defeated the Titan during the Great Cataclysm show that one of the eight was a Teraton, meaning they had to have been created during or before this period.)
However, the mages were wiped out, the Teratons freed, and the land of Halenforth was left forever scarred and ruined. Much time passed, with the land laying abandoned. From lands abroad, people slowly began to come to Halenforth once more, mainly those banished from their homelands, or fleeing from the law.
