The Book of Quests was a book created by Jejre starting in 24 AE. Whenever someone properly documents the use of a special ability into the book, they gain the use of that ability. There are limits to this, however, and it the documentation must be thorough enough that someone reading it would be able to understand it.

The book was originally created to document the actions of the Alibaas people during the Orkan campaign in their land from 24 to 32 AE. Jejre included various enchantments in the book's design as part of experimentation, and later began to discover that he was somehow learning the abilities of some Alibaas he had documented. By 40 AE, he also began to take notice that the book had slowed the effects of aging on him, which allowed him to live to over 180 years of age, more than double the average lifespan of Humans even today.

Following Jejre's death, ownership of the book was passed on to his friend Anterrus Grisant, who continued Jejre's work and took up the title of Anjejre in his honor. Years later, the book's third owner, Lucian Cartus, annotated the book as "Kept by the Line of Jejre", formally creating the position of Keeper of Quests.

In the 24th century, the book's 14th Keeper, Edjejre, began using the book in an attempt to reach the real world. The Book of Quests from the SAJ Epic Universe was destroyed on 2 October 2319 by the Manly Trio. One week later, a message from that world's Edjejre was sent to his counterpart in the New Epic Universe, who teamed up with his Old Epic counterpart briefly before being defeated by a group who had gathered in the area. The Old Epic Book of Quests was destroyed, but the New Epic one was left behind with just a burn on its side, and was later taken by Ganchi Hiaba.

The Book was finally destroyed in January of 2323 by Aaron, after Ganchi had sent the book to Marcus Mull. Ganchi remained in possession of a few of the book's pages following this, however, which still worked on their own just as well as before. One of them allowed Jejre to pass a message on across time to a group tracking down Ganchi in August of 2323. Currently, Ganchi still has a few pages from the book, but uses them sparingly as they are running short.
