Orkans were a race of tall Humans that lived in the northern reaches of Disparatus, in the country of Orka. They were mainly seen in Old Epic, where they lasted to the present day, thriving as a race. In New Epic, however, they were essentially wiped out in 305 AE by the demon Kri-Yut. However, a few thousand survived the destruction of their homeland by hiding in stasis underground.

When their stasis ended in 2305 AE, only two or three dozen Orkans survived the process due to a lack of power in the stasis system. Most of those who remained became followers of a man named Parus Vandir, who is currently seeking to gather artifacts believed to be from the Orkans' gods, aiming to use three stones known as the Laquiri to break the barrier on the Two Year Gap and rescue the remaining Orkans from their fate.

Prior to the decimation of their race, there were six major Orkan families: Maladorr, Arunay, Vandir, D'Morgan, Harien, Dilarusae, and Aiyonya.

Orkans are playable only by NPCs.
