Scripting
Overview
Scripting Enchantments are special abilities created as either a circle or a scroll for casting, doing anything from lighting a room to cloning your own body.
Scripting spells can be done both on paper and with an enchantment circle. If you choose to do a script with a circle, paper is not required as a reagent. However, you may not move a circle-style enchantment/script, nor can you trade it to anyone, for fairly obvious reasons. Once it's down, the reagents are spent, and that's it. If created as a scroll, a script takes up a consumable slot and burns away into ashes when used.
In battle, using a scroll or enchantment circle in the area costs a quick action and 15 Stamina. For spells that allow a target, they must be adjacent at the time of casting to be targeted.
You can create a script as long as you have the required reagents and satisfy the skill point requirement.
You can choose to write spells in specific languages. When you write a scroll, you should specify which language it is written in. You cannot write a scroll in Universal or Sign Language.
Identifying Scripts
In order to identify a script, you must have Knowledge "Scripting"/"Enchantment" as well as the language in which the scroll was written. If these conditions are satisfied, then you must roll 1d100 and add your Enchantment. If this sum surpasses a roll of 1d100 plus the writer's Enchantment, then you successfully identify it. You can attempt this even with 0 ENC.
You can also identify a script if you are outright told what it is, but only that particular script. If you buy a Find scroll in Elven and don't speak it, you'll know what it is because you bought it knowing that. But that doesn't mean you'll know another Elven Find scroll on sight just because you've seen one before.
You do not need to be able to read a scroll in order to use it. This is for the sake of the characters. You may have OOC knowledge of what the scroll is, but that doesn't mean your character will.
List of Spells
Circle of Light: Illuminates the battlefield up to five spaces, centered on the caster. This eliminates penalties resulting from darkness for 3 rounds for whoever is within the light.
ENC Requirement: 10
Reagents: Ruby x5, Lucid Prism, Paper
Karmic Veil: Creates a karmic aura around the target that disguises their alignment, making its true alignment impossible to detect. For all intents and purposes, the target's alignment is considered to be the one that this scroll dictates. When the scroll is created, the Scripter can determine exactly what alignment it inflicts. This can just be Good/Neutral/Evil, but you can add Lawful/Passive/Chaotic if you want. Lasts for 24 hours.
ENC Requirement: 10
Reagents: 5 Pearl, 5 Amethyst, 2 Lucid Prism, Paper
Slow Fall: The target will always hit the ground softly, regardless of distance fallen. They become immune to falling damage for 3 turns.
ENC Requirement: 20
Reagents: 10 Jade, 2 Lucid Prism, Paper
Find: Tells you where the closest specific item is. The item can be anything, but you can only use one word, and you cannot use proper nouns. After activation, you will see and be directed to the location in your head.
ENC Requirement: 30
Reagents: 5 Emerald, 5 Sapphire, Paper
Summon: Target an item that you are currently holding (and can carry). At the cost of a quick action, you may instantly summon it to you regardless of distance.
ENC Requirement: 30
Reagents: 5 Sapphire, Paper
Knock: Target a door within line of sight. The door will become unlocked, though it is not opened by the spell.
ENC Requirement: 40
Reagents: 2 Ruby, Paper
Sphere of Levitation: Target an object no larger than 5' in diameter and it will weigh nothing. Lasts for 1 hour.
ENC Requirement: 50
Reagents: 10 Sapphire, Paper
Spectral Store: Summon a general store for 5 minutes, allowing you to buy items from one during quests where they'd otherwise be inaccessable. Items from the store only materialize after they have been sold. When used with Enhance, this becomes Spectral Mall and allows you to visit player character stores during quests.
ENC Requirement: 50
Reagents: 5 Ruby, 5 Emerald, Paper
Sentience: Gives an animal or tree human level of intelligence so that it can speak telepathically. Can be used to consult otherwise useless avenues of investigation, or just to find out what a tree thinks about all day. Lasts for one hour. Can only be used on something that doesn't already have sentience.
ENC Requirement: 60
Reagents: 5 Jade, 5 Emerald, 1 Onyx, 1 Paper
Death Shroud: Allows the reader to quickly hide the unconscious form of his allies or enemies within the astral plane, preventing them from being attacked, detected, or otherwise molested until the holder releases them, dies, or the spell wears off. Lasts for five minutes (60 actions). Can be ended by the caster willing it. The affected ally cannot be resurrected or reawaken while this is in effect.
ENC Requirement: 70
Reagents: 5 Obsidian, 5 Moonstone, Paper
Enhance: Double either the number of targets, the size of the effect, or the duration of the next spell used.
ENC Requirement: 70
Reagents: 10 Lucid Prism, Paper
Spectral Messenger: Sends a single mental message to any living person whose name you know. The message is one-way, but can be of any length.
ENC Requirement: 80
Reagents: 5 Ruby, 5 Jade, 2 Lucid Prism, Paper
Portable Moment: Creates a 10x10 foot zone centered on user where 1 minute occurs during 5 seconds of outside time.
ENC Requirement: 90
Reagents: 2 Amethyst, 5 Lucid Prism, 1 Onyx, Paper
Undo: End any spells active within 50 feet.
ENC Requirement: 90
Reagents: 1 Obsidian, 10 Lucid Prism, Paper
Translocation: Instantly teleports the user to another location. Translocation must be cast twice in order to work: Once, as a circle, at the location that you'd like to set as a destination, and the second time as either a circle or a scroll, to allow you to translocate there. (Keep this in mind if you are selling Translocation.) Translocation can take someone across countries, oceans, and planets, but not across dimensions or universes.
ENC Requirement: 100
Reagents: Jade x5, Lucid Prism x5, Paper
Clone Form: The reader immediately falls unconscious and the scroll flashes and reforms into an exact copy of his or her form. The user's consciousness is transferred into the clone for 24 hours, at which point the clone burns away into ashes. Stats of the clone, including HP and Stamina, are halved. If the clone is destroyed prematurely, the user must still wait until the end of the day before consciousness returns.
