Appearance
Cordelia is of average overall height, at 5'7. She is slender, and wears wire-frame glasses. She has long, blonde hair that is generally pinned up with a pair of what appear to be scalpels. Her eyes are a piercing, cold grey. She tends to wear normal clothes, albeit with a labcoat over them. She also has knee-high boots, and a variety of medical equipment at her waist on her belt.
Personality
A generally cheerful and pleasant person, she gets decidedly nasty when people mess with her experiments and destroy nature for entertainment. She is completely amoral when it comes to her experiments, courtesy of the cursed book: her mind simply fails to recognize that anything that she does in pursuit of her research could possibly be "wrong", even if she would never do it in another context. She values information very highly.
Strengths
Magic, science, and intellectual pursuits. She is also a fairly good liar, and very good at running away.
Weaknesses
She's not really built for combat, and doesn't particularly enjoy it, either. A generally private person, she's not all that eloquent except in scientific areas.
History
Early Life
Born to a biologist and a geneticist, Cordelia raised steeped in a love of nature and an interest in the inner workings of creatures. Courtesy of a maliciously enchanted copy of "The Origin of The Species" that she stumbled across, she gained an obsession with 'improving' nature, making animals faster, stronger, and deadlier. The book gave her the will: a keystone that gave her an unusually strong magical talent and a razor intellect provided the way.
Pre-Epic
Her obsession and her new-found abilities led her to double-majoring in Occult Studies and Biology, focusing specifically on areas that would allow her to mutate and manipulate DNA, as well as organisms themselves on a macro level. An internship in a corporate lab during her Sophomore year brought her to the attention of a secret sub-division of the company that was making bio-weapons: she was scouted for it immediately after graduation, and given free reign in one of the best labs on Disparatus. Eventually, she decided that the company was too restricting of what she could do, and left, determined to find her own way. The corporation, fearing that she would give away too much about them, has been hunting her ever since.
