Story

Muteki's history was a long and glorious one in Old Epic. Being an S-Class Demon, he has been gifted with life-unending unless extinguished by force. He is one of the few remaining creatures in existence that was present during The Great Exodus, and holds the record for most victories in the Demon World Tournament, a record of 104 wins, considered by many impossible to surpass considering he shattered the last record by over 80.

However there came a time when he was no longer satisfied with just being the best. He chose for himself a promising young pupil, a boy with astonishing potential fresh out of the Dark Jester Massacre. That boy was Seijun Zatenrai Sr., then known as Celice Anselm. The boy surpassed his expectations in every regard, clearing his trials without suffering a single wound. However, in his excitement over his student's progress, he failed to notice his unstable personality and growing sadism.

Zatenrai completed his training and he was set loose upon the world. Muteki ignored it for a time, but he soon realized that his pupil's ambitions far exceeded simply contract killing. Despite never being a particularly merciful or morally righteous demon, learning that he was of the intention to surpass god forced his hand. Muteki met his former student in battle and lost. The world presumed him dead, and indeed he almost was.

Muteki managed to survive and spent months recooperating in the shadows, his pride crushed and his trust shattered. He turned to a life in solitude in the uninhabited islands far off the coast of Banivia. The ordeal with his former student left him bitter and nearly psychotic, and his attitude toward his new apprentices is violent and merciless.

Muteki has only taken 4 students under his wing in his entire life. The first was Zatenrai. The second died attempting to complete his training and therefore is irrelevant to everything. The third was Hiei, and his final student was Seth.
