"I'm built from blueprints intended for mental and physical prowess, and attractiveness."
—Enos

Summary

A psychonautic centurion currently infected with a eurocid and on the run from Promethean Enterprises.

Personality

Being unpredictable, paranoid, cocky, and a bit pretentious, Enos is a difficult person to deal with if he doesn't find a reason to respect you. He'll often brush off the ideas of others, frequently acts without thinking, and seeks thrills at all opportunities, three things that make him extremely dangerous to work with. All and all, for these reasons, if he doesn't like you, he'll make your life hell, intentionally or not.

If he finds reason to respect you however, either as a leader or an equal, he tends to be much easier to deal with. If you're seen as a leader, he'll even go so far as to protect you with his life.

He has a love for adrenaline rushes of all sorts, which keeps him from ever faltering in a fight. The more hectic things get, the better.

Although he has a lot of unpleasant qualities, he's quite the talented chemist, and an extremely effective assassin, if he manages to be sneaky enough.

Has all the emotional maturity of a 14 year old on amphetamines.

History

Early Life

Enos was created as an assassination-based centurion for Promethean Enterprises, alongside two others of the same genetic build. Due to the experimental nature of the genetic code they were using, problems cropped up in the triplets' health. Wanting to clear up their issues with as little money loss and backlash as possible, Enos was chosen randomly from the three to become the test subject for the group.

While the majority of the experiments involved were successful, his lab rat job and a small number of pharmaceutical side effects reflected on his personality and health, leaving him impossible to sell off. In order to keep him useful, the company decided to keep him at the base, where he continued to act as a willing test subject and, whether everyone else liked it or not, a chemist of his own. Ever since then, he's taken a liking to his lot in life, and considers his willingness and ability to throw his well being aside for the sake of science to be a legitimate skill and way of life.

Corporate Issue II

After getting a strange call from Officer Carden Winters about the Scar case, Enos joined several others at a UP police station, and assisted them in tracking down and arresting the vampire. Following Scar's arrest, Enos had a personal talk with him, and agreed to help let him escape as long as Scar promised to give them information on SAHBER, a large pharmaceutical company that he and the people he worked for competed with.

He and the others later infiltrated SAHBER, managing to break in with a bomb scare. Not long after entering however, he managed to get caught in a trap. After capturing him, some SAHBER scientists placed a eurocid in his brain, then set him up to meet up with Lucia, a much more progressed victim of the same procedure. Controlled by Lucia's eurocid, he unwillingly attacked Luci, just barely not killing her thanks to the intervention of the rest of the team. They were rescued by Alexander not long afterward.

Post Corporate Issue II

Enos was later found in Neptune City, on the run from the people he used to work for. After hearing about his eurocid problem, Mortimer offered to help. The two of them exchanged numbers.

Later, in the jungle of Handora, Enos met with Jolene, a fellow chemist. After some rather awkward communication failures of Enos' part, Jolene agreed to help him run from Kastos, and put together a strange potion for him. Following wacky hot dog hijinx, Jolene was found by the people Enos was trying to run from, and informed that Enos was actually on the run after murdering Jeremy Lacroux. They let her go, but encouraged her to stay away from Enos for her own safety. Jolene didn't listen.

According to Enos' side of the story, he had only tried to knock Jeremy out in self defense, but the eurocid kicked in as he was doing so, causing him to pull out a gun and kill him instead.

Later, Mortimer helped him take safe haven in a branch of the Military Intelligence Bureau. While he was able to give him a small amount of information about the people who previously hired him, he was held back from explaining much more.

A couple months later, he finally caved in and explained the story of his origin to Jolene.

After discovering Adrien's real identity, once he was able to come to partial terms with the idea of allowing him to live, he agreed to accept his help on the subject. The two of them came to a half-hearted agreement to find a new, willing host to have him transfer his eurocid to, hopefully with the help of a neuroscientist.

Enos Vs. the Obvious Reference Title

Around the same time that he told Jolene about his own history, Jolene told him about an ex of hers, Roy Auric, who'd been making clone slaves of her in the last couple of years. Angered by the other man's actions, and more than a little jealous, Enos set out to hunt him down.

Using several potions, as well as a stolen dress, to disguise himself as a Jolene clone, he successfully infiltrated Auric's mansion. By using a cake he spiked with an Elixir of Silence, Enos was able to incapacitate and tie him up before his army of Jolenes could be alerted. After interrogating Auric for a while, Enos killed him, and booked it off the premises, blowing up a few of the clones on his way out.

When he returned to Jolene's house, he told her all the information he got out of Auric, and then asked her out. Awkwardly.

Cold Trail

When Jolene found herself unable to go to a major science expo in Hammond, Enos offered to go in her place. When he got there however, the main presenter, Dr. May, turned up dead before he could make his scientific reveals. Not wanting to come back to Jolene completely empty handed, Enos decided to assist in the following investigation.

As they looked into the murder further, it became apparent that the culprit was a Euromortis, much like Adrien, who had been possessing the bodies of its victims. Wanting to take out his growing anger about his own Eurocid problem, he vowed to kill the creature, at first chance he got.

While the group investigated an underwater excavation site, Siliya Katen, a bounty hunter also on the case, recognized him as a wanted man. In attempt to drown him, she poked a hole in his scuba tank, causing him to take in water after already diving a good distance below sea level. Fortunately, he managed to get back to the surface fast enough to avoid death or long term injury, though the incident left him somewhat incapacitated for the rest of the trip. Due to her continued harassment of him, after the failed assassination, he was easily able to pick out that Siliya was responsible.

After helping the team take out the Euromortis' transport robot, best he could while still half-dead from nearly drowning, and suffering from withdrawal, he joined the group in hunting down the Euromortis in its primary body, Dr. Lewis. Enos was able to lure him away from the doctor's coworkers by requesting medical help from him, at which point he and the others pegged him down for questioning. There, he held the alien at scissor-point. However, following a long argument about eurocids, and whether or not they should be allowed to settle on the planet, Enos gave in to mental exhaustion, and backed out of actually executing the man. Almost immediately after, Siliya did the deed instead.

After waking up back in his hotel room, sometime in the middle of the night, he found Lewis' body at his door. Figuring he could use it for study, he decided to keep it.

Later, he came across Siliya again, this time while she was alone. He announced that he knew that she'd been making attempts on his life but, after the two of them chatted for a bit, he agreed not to fight her until after his eurocid problem got worked out. He claimed that he was backing down out of fear of the eurocid taking over, though, in reality, he realized he rather liked having her around as a threat.

Xenogenesis

Soon after returning from Hammond, Enos received a text from Alexander, calling him out for followup on the eurocid issue. Desperate for a lead after Lewis' body failed to turn up with anything, Enos headed to the meeting point without question. Once he got there however, a stranger, Victor Crane, showed up in Alex's place. Victor claimed that he and his team were planning a trip out to Eurydice to do further research on the Eurocid threat, and uncover the intentions of a recent UP expedition out to the same planet. He offered to try to dig out any possible antidotes that their team could dig up from the planet, in exchange for Enos coming with him on the trip. Lacking any better ideas, despite his suspicions about Victor's intentions, Enos reluctantly agreed.

On the shuttle trip out to the planet, Enos was introduced to a mech combat training simulator, which he quickly became obsessed with. Once they arrived at their waypoint, Polaris, Enos was informed that he, alongside of his new partner, Caleb, would actually be able to pilot a real mech as part of the trip.

On Polaris, he was able to pick out a few mechs for him to pilot in the future.

After picking these out, however, Alexander finally reappeared, and revealed that the whole trip had been a scam. Victor's people were, in fact, planning to use Enos as a bloodhound for picking out the Eurocids among the UP's ranks. They had no intention of bringing him back alive.

Having little other option, now that he had already been leashed down by Victor's team, Enos chose to be a double agent for the Arenan Alliance, where he'd try to take out Victor and co. from within.

Until then, however, he at least had some time left to plan and train.

Black Rock Tournament

After returning from Polaris, Enos participated in the Black Rock Tournament of 2325. There, he won the side bracket, coming out victorious over Sanel, Alexander, and Jolene. In the following three-way exposition match, he took out both Luci and Kulimar, winning him extra bragging rights, and a sweet new handgun.

During the tournament, he discovered that Luci had been hanging around his brother, Leros, who claimed to be in contract with her. Although Enos admitted to hating the man, his guilt about almost killing Luci, back at SAHBER, prevented him from getting between them.

Post Black Rock

After learning that he and Luci both suffered from similar flashbacks and trauma, Enos took her out to get drunk. Unfortunately, instead of getting drunk, as planned, the two of them instead wound up picking a fight with Seraxel. Seraxel vowed that he would kill Enos in December but, by the time the month rolled along, the thuwadian disappeared from the face of the planet.

An Important Quote

Nick: After a few moments of stoic standing, the adrenaline of the fight wore off and he leaned against the nearest wall, hand on his side. He wasn't dying, but he wasn't feeling great. Pot would be nice.
Clara: Enos threw him a bag.
Clara: Except not
Aaron: (Enos probably pops prescription pills.)
Aaron: (holy crap that alliteration)
Aaron: (fuck my ass until i shit out of my mouth)
Nick: (Can that go on Enos' wiki page?)
Nick: (Like, all of that)
Alicia: Penos*?

Old Epic

There was a version of Enos who appeared near the end of Old Epic. He is unimportant.
