Overview

Dragons are among the oldest and most resilient races hailing from the planet Earth. With tough hides and fearsome natural defenses, dragons rarely die to outside influences.

Unfortunately, even dragons cannot withstand the ravages of time. A combination of being forced from their lands by the influx of Humans in The Great Exodus and a poor record of breeding has resulted in a highly diminished dragon population.

Unusually, despite hailing from Earth a small number of dragons have also been found in Dragonoa on Disparatus. The Thuwadians also claim to be descended from dragons, implying their presence on Umbra Terra as well. While some believe that dragons have some means of travel between worlds, nothing has yet been proven.

Dragons are playable only by NPCs.

Noteworthy Dragons

Racial Passive

Graceful Beast (Racial Passive): Dragons are powerful creatures, respected and feared by many.
Requirement: NPC Only
Positives: Access to the Flight Passive. Start with the Tough Skin Universal Passive for free. Your Awakening costs a Minor Action, rather than a Quick Action (begins with the Olympian element for free). The Double Effects Technique Element costs one point less to be added to techniques. Must take one sub-racial passive.
Negatives: -15 Stealth. Must take the Impulse Murder/Execution on your Awakening, but recieve 0 points from it rather than -2. (This still uses up a Kickback slot.) Cannot use crafting skills.

Sub Racials

The Sacred Flame (Sub-Racial): Flame dragons are otherwise known as Children of the Sacred Flame. They are the most common and well-known dragons, making their homes in a caves, volcanos, mountains, and just about anywhere else that doesn't dip below freezing at any time in the year. They're notorious for their hoarding of shiny objects and treasures, with which they become easily infatuated. They are not outright hostile to humans, but humans are often hostile to them due to their frightening appearance.
Requirement: Must be Fire or Rift Affinity.
Effects: +15 Awareness, +10 Deceit. The Smash/Fire Technique Element costs one point less to be added to techniques, and can be added to any techique on the fly for an additional 15 Stamina.

The Sacred Earth (Sub-Racial): Earth dragons are sturdy and thick-skinned dragons, which are mostly found in caves, deserts, and other rocky terrain. They are a source of calm, and are the type of dragon who are most friendly with humans and the other mortal races. However, as Earth dragons have taken it upon themselves to be the protectors of natural life on the planet, this at times does put them at odds with humankind.
Requirement: Must be Earth or Rift Affinity.
Effects: +15 Speechcraft, +10 Strength. The Upheaval and Crater Technique Elements cost one point less to be added to techniques, and can be added to any techique on the fly for an additional 15 Stamina.

The Sacred Water (Sub-Racial): Water dragons are often the wisest of the dragons, spending most of their time isolated from other races and observing the world around them. They are somewhat antisocial, but usually harbor no ill will toward other races. They have been known to save those shipwrecked at sea, or in times of wrath have been likened to the sea monsters that have dragged many others beneath the waves. They can make nearly any source of water their natural habitat.
Requirement: Must be Water or Rift Affinity.
Effects: +15 Perception, +10 Athletics. The Flood Technique Element costs one point less to be added to techniques, and can be added to any techique on the fly for an additional 15 Stamina.

The Sacred Sky (Sub-Racial): Sky dragons are the second most common breed of dragons, known to make their homes in mountaintops and other high places. They are the most versatile race of dragons, and also the smallest and most agile. They are natural predators, and for that, some tension exists between them and the other mortal races (although they don't make them a priority for consumption). They tend to be lighthearted and carefree creatures.
Requirement: Must be Sky or Rift Affinity.
Effects: +15 Athletics, +10 Charisma. The Knockback and Knockback II Technique Elements cost one point less to be added to techniques, and can be added to any techique on the fly for an additional 15 Stamina.

The Sacred Light (Sub-Racial): Light dragons are generally regarded as the most beautiful of dragons, in large part due to their reflective scales, which makes them appear to shine during the day or glow under the face of the moon. They are the judicators of dragonkind, charged with maintaining control of the other races in the off-chance that they go berserk and try to destroy everyone. They often come off as somewhat arrogant and regal.
Requirement: Must be Sun or Rift Affinity.
Effects: +15 Charisma, +10 Speechcraft. The Electricity and Storm Technique Elements cost one point less to be added to techniques, and can be added to any techique on the fly for an additional 15 Stamina. (20 Stamina for Storm)

The Sacred Darkness (Sub-Racial): Despite their name, Dark dragons are not an innately evil race. In fact, in some ways they could be considered the most reliable dragons in regards to their treatment of other races. They are usually exceedingly arrogant, and the common rule is that they will treat well all those who treat them as their better. They are quick to anger, and are the most destructive of the dragons when provoked.
Requirement: Must be Moon or Rift Affinity.
Effects: +15 Deceit, +10 Perception. The Void Technique Element costs one point less to be added to techniques, and can be added to any techique on the fly for an additional 15 Stamina.

The Sacred Ice (Sub-Racial): Ice dragons are not a naturally born race of dragons, but seem to have resulted from millenia of isolation for dragons in the far north or south. They are the most distant of dragons, and are focused primarily on their own survival above all else. While they do not necessarily hate other races, they have no qualms with killing any of them, and often will if encroached upon in even minor ways. You'll get no sympathy from them.
Effects: +15 Strength, +10 Willpower. The Ice Technique Element costs one point less to be added to techniques, and can be added to any techique on the fly for an additional 15 Stamina.

The Sacred Lifegiver (Sub-Racial): Divine dragons are the rarest type of dragons by far. At any given time, there is not likely to be more than 20 alive as a result of breeding often resulting in offspring of a different draconic race. It is said that they were the first of the dragons, and that they are of divine origin. They are the leaders of dragon-kind, and the greatest of them is considered their king. The Divine dragons are separated into two types: the warriors and the lifegivers. The warriors are capable of turning nature to destructive purpose, while the lifegivers are capable of healing it or (in cases of extreme power) creating it.
Effects: +15 Willpower, +10 Awareness. The Concentration, Overshield, and Motivate Technique Elements cost one point less to be added to techniques, and can be added to any techique on the fly for an additional 15 Stamina. (20 Stamina for Motivate)
