Deathmatches

A deathmatch is a stat battle to the death which occurs when one character challenges another to one. Deathmatches have to be approved. You need to be justified, based partially on Affection level. For someone you have at 3* or higher, you need a legitimate reason. But, if you have them at 1* or 2*, you also obviously can't be bullshitting. In other words, you need a reason in order to call for a deathmatch, but for people you don't have at a low affection, it needs to be a really good reason. They aren't going to fight to the death over something trivial.

When someone challenges you to a deathmatch with a legitimate reason, you must roll Willpower against their Speechcraft. The person being challenged suffers a -15 penalty to their Willpower roll if they have the person challenging them at 2*, and a -25 penalty if they have them at 1*. If the person being challenged wins the roll, they are not convinced into a deathmatch. If the person challenging wins the roll, a deathmatch must take place within seven days. If someone does not have a sheet prepared in time, they automatically lose. (However, a deathmatch would likely be allowed to be postponed if there is a good reason for this.)

If Double KO occurs in a Deathmatch, both participants die unless one of the two passes the death mark. In that case, only the one who actually died is killed.
